But true, even if someone is guilty and telling the truth, they will often not tell the WHOLE story. Well Miskelley is obviously smart enough to not incriminate himself tooo much. But did he ever say that he was just pushed into it by police? He could have Easily said "They wanted me to say something about Damien and what I said about Damien and Jason is not true at all, it is all fabricated and I am sorry.! But that never happened.

I think Miskelley just does not have a sense of time. Could be they all met in the Morning. The only other explanation is that police told him a story and made him memorize it and then taped the confession. But is Miskelley smart enough to remember the story? And there were enough suspects.Nobody reported that police was pushing them into a confession. I just can't believe that there was no technology to get phone records!
